Michael
Myers was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on January 20th,
1976 to the proud parents; Herman Sr. and Gloria Myers.
Myers
perfected his football skills at Hinds Community College
and very soon after became a vital player and dedicated
student of University of Alabama. He is married to Brandy
Myers and has two children Mykayla and Braxton.
Myers
has been a member of the NFL for eleven seasons. In his
extensive professional career he has been a part of four
different teams, the Dallas Cowboys, the Cleveland Browns,
the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Denver Broncos.
He
was a fourth round draft pick (100) by the Dallas Cowboys
in1998 and played a total of six seasons with the team.
In his last three years in Dallas, Myers participated
in ninety tackles including over four sacks.
The
three hundred pound defensive tackle next ventured on
to the Cleveland Browns, where he added over forty-five
defensive tackles to his career stats and another four
sacks. In only two years, with the team Myers became a
great asset and dominated the field with his perseverance
and commitment.
In
2005 Myers joined forces with the Denver Broncos, to create
what would be two of the best seasons of his career. His
over eighty-eight tackles and three game defining sacks
proved that Myers is not only a benefit to his team, but
to the NFL as well. When Myers became the beloved number
ninety-six of the Cincinnati Bengals he truly illuminated
the field, with over thirty-five tackles in his first
season alone.
Michael
Myers deeply believes in giving back to the communities
that have given him so much support. He has participated
in community service projects across the nation and is
still extremely active in Dallas and Vicksburg today.
Myers is a true force to be reckoned with on and off the
field. He is a true all-American player, with the heart,
determination, and enthusiasm that only emphasize his
accomplishments on the field.
